Is crochet good for you?
You see it all the time within the craft community; people proclaiming the benefits of making something with their own hands for their mental-health and general wellbeing, and I’m wholeheartedly one of those people. It’s not the reason I started with crochet, but it’s definitely one of the reasons I continue with it now.
Unsettled times : my thoughts and feelings
I’ve been wondering whether or not to say anything for a few days now. In times of ‘world events’ I’m usually one of the folk joining in on other people’s platforms, offering my love and support, not the one making a statement of sorts… But this time I’ve decided to do things differently.

After spending some much needed time reflecting on life at the end of 2019 I came to many realisations. The biggest was probably around how I was choosing to spend my time, and therefore also my life. As I’ve mentioned before, I hadn’t found the right balance between work (my side-business more specifically) and, well, everything else.
A new decade, some big changes and my word for the year
I’m feeling excited. It’s a new decade, and all the usual ‘fresh start’ energy has been supercharged by the fact we’re leaving the 20-teen years behind. I’ve loved the last decade. It saw many huge changes for me. Lots of learning and growing…
Reflecting on my maternity leave
We’re embarking on a new chapter together and life has changed so much since this time last year. I’m not usually very good at looking back and reflecting, but seeing as this is a natural phase of transition for me it feels appropriate - and September has that ‘new year’ feel to it doesn’t it?
