Free crochet pattern: Rainbow Diamond Wall Hanging

You know, I made this design in white a very long time ago but didn’t want to release it until I’d made another in black. This is the main reason it’s been sat on the back-burner for so many months - I had a case of ‘second sock syndrome’ but with a wall hanging instead.

It was worth the wait though, don’t you think?

I really love having both the white and black backgrounds together for this piece. I think it looks really effective when they’re hung together. Of course, you can make one in whichever colours you like - but I just think having two together like this is worth the extra time (so long as you don’t wait months, like me!).

So without further ado, here it is. You can get the full chart for this pattern below for free, but if you’d prefer a printable PDF with full instructions then you can get it for a small fee over in my shop, Etsy or Ribblr.

I’ve used a mixture of DMC Natura Just Cotton and Schachenmayr Catania for these pieces. Both have an excellent selection of colours to choose from, and they work quite well together for projects like this.

I also used a 3.5mm hook, tapestry needle, scissors and wooden dowel to hang the finished piece on.

You can follow the chart for all the colour changes and stitch count below:

I give you full licence to experiment! This could make a framed piece of art, a cushion cover or even a clutch bag maybe? Just please make sure you give credit to ‘logii’ wherever possible.

Again, if you’d like to have a printable PDF version including the full written pattern, instructions for adding a fringe, finishing and links to some helpful video tutorials all in one place then you can buy it for a small fee over in my shop, Etsy or Ribblr (along with my other wall hanging patterns).

I really hope you enjoy this one! Please remember to tag me if you make your own so that I can share it on my socials (@logiilo) or include the catchy hashtag #rainbowdiamondwallhanging. It truly is the best feeling seeing my patterns out in the world and I really appreciate you sharing the love. If you’re not going to make it right away, save it for later by pinning the image below!

Pin this one for later:

Thanks and enjoy!
