Free crochet pattern: Mini Bobble Wall-Hanging
If you’re looking for a fast and simple project to satisfy your creativity for an evening, then I’ve got a pattern for you… these cute boho wall-hangings can be made within an hour and have just the right level of challenge and ease to keep you interested.
Many moons ago I used to sell these as finished items, but I’m now offering the pattern up here for free. You can find all of the instructions below, but if you’d like a printable version so you can scribble notes or make your own adjustments then it is available to buy in my shop for a very small fee.
Notes on the pattern:
This pattern is written in US crochet terms, but you can find the UK abbreviation below:
Ch - chain stitch
Sc - single crochet (UK double crochet)
Bo - Bobble stitch
Dec. - decrease
The turning chain at the beginning of a row does not count as a stitch.
Special stitches:
Bobble stitch:
yarn over, insert hook into stitch and pull up loop. Yarn over, pull through two.
repeat first step until you have 5 loops on your hook.
yarn over, pull through all 5 loops at once.
single crochet in next stitch to finish (this counts as the next stitch).
Pattern:
Foundation chain: 14 ch.
Row 1: sc in second ch from hook and in each remaining (13 stitches in total).
Row 2-3: Ch1 turn, sc13
Row 4: Ch1 turn, sc6, Bo, sc6
Row 5: Ch1 turn, sc13
Row 6: Ch1 turn, sc4, Bo, sc3, Bo, sc4
Row 7: Ch1 turn, sc13
Row 8: Ch1 turn, sc6, Bo, sc6
Row 9-11: Ch1 turn, sc13
Row 12: Ch1 turn, sc6, Bo, sc6
Row 13: Ch1 turn, sc13
Row 14: Ch1 turn, dec., sc11, dec.
Row 15: Ch1 turn, dec., sc9, dec.
Row 16: Ch1 turn, dec., sc7, dec.
Fasten off, weave in ends, add a fringe and attach to a dowel. More in depth instructions can be purchased with the full pattern in my shop.
