Cool Girl Crochet Patterns for Spring
The verdict is in: crochet is definitely in the ‘cool girl’ sphere and I am loving all the attention it is getting. There are so many great patterns out there and more are being added each day. My Pinterest boards and Instagram collections are growing and I am eager to get started on my crochet wish-list for spring.
We’re also seeing more crochet (or fake crochet) items in high-street shops and supermarkets which solidifies it’s popularity in my opinion, but then also makes me sad that fast-fashion has gotten it’s dirty hands on a product that literally cannot be made by a machine.
The more people are making their own crochet items, rather than buying into the fast-fashion versions we’re seeing everywhere at the moment, the better for me. So with that in mind, I’d like to share some of my favourite crochet patterns I’ve been saving to make this springtime.
All of the above patterns (and more) can be found via this link to my Etsy collection board.
It’s an ever-growing list, so if you have any suggestions of cool patterns to add to the collection then feel free to let me know. Many of them have been around for a long time and there’s no sign of them going out of style. When you make something yourself you want it to be cherished and worn, so all of these pattern suggestions are put forward with the idea that they’ll last longer than just one season.
Let’s keep crochet slow-fashion and support independent designers whilst we’re at it :-)
